Claim Information

OwnerShield Guarantee Claims, Exceptions and Exclusions

OwnerShield Claim Procedure

No benefit shall be paid unless the theft is reported to the Administrator/Warrantor: Dealership Warranty Corporation, P.O. Box 2527 Houston, Texas 77252 • 800-343-6643 within 10 days after the theft and the following legible copies are received by certified mail within 45 days of theft: (1) Copy of police report filed within 48 hours of theft (2) Copy of insurance settlement check. (3) Copy of owner/lessee comprehensive insurance policy. (4) Proof of purchase of Theft Deterrent product. (5) Authorized claim number issued by Administrator must be submitted.

1. Theft guaranteed amount is strictly limited to amount shown on front of this form at the selected coverage plan.

2. Loss due to any fraudulent, dishonest, or illegal criminal act by you whether acting alone or in collusion with others is specifically excluded and will immediately void this warranty.

3. Claims must be reported to the Administrator/Warrantor: Dealership Warranty Corporation, P.O. Box 2527 Houston, Texas 77252 • 800-343-6643 within 10 days and all documents received by certified mail within 45 days of theft.

4. This guarantee is for the sole benefit of the original registered purchaser/lessee shown on the attached application and may not be assigned or transferred to another person, and is not renewable unless prior approval is specifically granted in writing from Administrator whereby a fee of no less than $49.00 may be required for this service. 5. Any loss occurring outside of the USA, its territories, or possessions.

6. When owner fails to take reasonable precautions against theft (i.e. left keys in vehicle or gave vehicle to thief or otherwise left keys in thief’s possession).

7. Any loss occurring where the vehicle is burned or is carjacked.

*Note only the actual cash value is paid if the insurance settlement is less than the stated value of this warranty.

Transfer of Warranty: This warranty is transferable only to the second owner for the remainder of the initial warranty term upon compliance with the following conditions: 1. Submit to Administrator a photocopy of the original owner certificate along with the name and address of the second owner. 2. Mail the above information by certified or registered mail along with a $49.00 transfer fee to: Administrator/Warrantor: Dealership Warranty Corporation, P.O. Box 2527 Houston, Texas 77252. 3. This warranty is null and void unless second owner completes transfer within 30 days of purchase. 4. In order to qualify the vehicle must be free of damage and the original owner’s obligations are fulfilled. Administrator reserves the right to inspect any vehicle before completion of the transfer.
 
Cancelability of Warranty: These Protection Systems are permanently installed on the covered vehicle therefore these warranties are non-cancelable and non-refundable. Cancellation can only occur for nonpayment by the consumer for the vehicle protection product, a material misrepresentation by the consumer to the seller or warrantor, fraud by the consumer, or a substantial breach of duties by the consumer relating to the warranty.

Administrator shall not be liable for damages because of use, misuse, or loss of business or profits or any other type of consequential or incidental damages.

 

Windshield Guarantee Claims, Exceptions and Exclusions:

WindShield Claim Procedure:

For Claims You Must Call 800-242-7316

1. Any chip or crack caused by propelled small rocks or stones while driving on highway, streets or roads on above described vehicle's windshield that happened on or after the effective date of your DMS Windshield Protection Plan.

2. Any stress cracks caused by bumps in the highways, streets or roads on above described vehicle's windshield that happened on or after the effective date of your DMS Windshield Protection Plan.

3. If any of the windshield damage described above is not repairable (which will be determined by a certified network technician or by DMS), DMS will supply and replace the windshield on the above described vehicle.

4. Coverage is only available through the Dealer Motor Services and all customers must call our dedicated toll free number to obtain service. DMS will not reimburse you for services rendered outside of Dealer Motor Services network (without prior approval from DMS).

5. A maximum limitation of 3 replacements with an aggregate total of $2000.00.

Exclusions: This Plan does not cover damage from collisions, vandalism, hail, other weather related hazards, factory defects, or any windshield damage other than described above. Other exclusions include: damage resulting from war, invasion, civil war' insurrection, rebellion or revolution, nuclear radiation or radioactive contamination, or any act of terrorism.

Cancellation and Transfer: This Agreement is non-cancelable, however, it may be transferred to another vehicle for a fee. Transfer: The transfer fee is twenty-five ($25.00). You must call 800-242-7316 to complete the transfer.

 

AutoShield Guarantee Claims, Exceptions and Exclusions:

AutoShield Claims Procedure

Contact Administrator/Warrantor Dealership Warranty Corporation at (800) 343-6643 for claim authorization number prior to beginning any repair of any Paint, Fabric, Leather or Vinyl under this warranty. Send authorization number and legible copies of the warranty and all receipts by certified letter within 45 days of claim.

Exterior Paint Protector: Does not apply to claims of abuse, vandalism, fire, wind, hail, stone chips, sand abrasion, acts of God, misuse or unreasonable use, negligence, manufacturer’s defects or defects which are covered under manufacturer’s warranty (Manufacturers warranty will take precedence over this warranty). Paint damage caused by applications of paste wax or other paraffin products. Glass, metal or plastic trim, chrome, and painted bumpers, mirrors and wheels are not covered. Paint damage caused by collision, alteration, scratching, pitting, any pre-existing conditions, surface rust, peeling, paint chipping, cracking, crazing and roof areas or other destruction of the vehicle is not covered. This warranty is extended only to vehicles maintained in the United States. Vinyl/Leather Protection: Does not apply to: Stains caused by abuse, vandalism, and misuse, damage caused by chemicals, tears, rips, burns, corrosive material of any kind, collision or similar accident or resulting from repair or damage caused by repair of such collision or accident, fire or other natural causes, any pre-existing conditions, acts of God, damage caused by rusting or poor adhesion to the surface. Fabric Protection: Does not apply to: stains caused by inks, bleaches, paints, gums, tar, wines, dyes, acids, or other corrosive liquids are not covered. Stains incurred by vehicles used for commercial use are not covered. Stains caused by manufacturers defect or installation of the fabric or trim are not covered. This warranty does not apply to floormats or headliners; damage caused by tears, any pre-existing conditions, stains caused by damage from cigar or cigarette burns, stains occurring on plastic, metal or plastic parts are not covered. Failure to file claim within 30 days after the discovery of any defect covered by any part of this warranty.

RoadShield Guarantee Claims, Exceptions and Exclusions


RoadShield Claim Procedure

Contact Administrator/Warrantor: Dealership Warranty Corporation, P.O. Box 2527, Houston, TX 77252 • 800-343-6643 for claim authorization number prior to beginning any repair of any Tire and Wheel Work under this warranty. Make sure tread depth of damaged tire is shown on all sales invoices. No benefit shall be paid unless tire or wheel damage is reported to Administrator before repairs start and all necessary documentation is received by administrator via certified mail within 45 days of initial claim filing date. Send authorization number, copies of this warranty, and receipts by certified letter to: Administrator/Warrantor: Dealership Warranty Corporation, P.O. Box 2527, Houston, TX 77252.

This does not apply to (a) Tire or Wheel failure outside the continental United States; (b) Destruction of a tire or wheel due to the impact with a curb or sidewall damage does not qualify as a road hazard; (c) Weather damage, dry rotting of tires or any damage associated with dry rotting. (d) Replacement of tires due to normal wear, wear by misalignment or suspension problems; (e) Rim leaks, improper inflation, manufacturer defects, vandalism, fire, upset, collision, theft, or misuse occasioned by driving on tire(s) when flat; (f) Tires mounted on vehicles other than on-road passenger vehicles or vehicles with re-capped tires; (g) Failure occurring from operating on any surface other than federal, state, county, city, or municipally paved roads or highways; (h) Tires or wheels transferred from vehicle on which they were originally installed. (i) The total limit of liability is $2500.00. (j) No low profile, VR or ZR rated tires,Vogue tires, racing tires or wheels not recommended by the vehicle manufacturer whether oversized or undersized. Coverage: Owner will be reimbursed 100% of the cost of a flat tire repair or full replacement when tire cannot be repaired and/or wheel damaged so it is unable to seal with the tire. Included is the cost of the tire, mounting, balancing, new valve stem, customary labor charge and sales tax as shown on the sales invoice. Eligible Tires: Original vehicle tires and wheels with a minimum of three thirty second (3/32”) remaining tread depth. Tire is to be free of manufacturer defects.
